In 2004, we helped Charlie Melancon win the closest congressional race in America—a 569-vote win over “Little Billy” Tauzin (the son of a Congressman). That race was called a “Blueprint for Democrats” by the Associated Press. The 2006 race was against State Sen. Craig Romero and occurred in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, which devastated huge swaths of Louisiana’s 3rd Congressional District.
We helped Charlie Melancon go from a 500 vote victory in 2004 to a 20,000 vote win in 2006. We are proud to have helped Charlie Melancon --- because Charlie Melancon made such a difference for hurricane victims.
